I am a carbon steel seamless pipe (Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe) , which is mainly made of carbon steel. It is a hollow pipe made by hot rolling or cold drawing. Because of its advantages of no welds, high strength and excellent pressure resistance , it is widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power, machinery manufacturing and other fields.

Main manufacturing process

I have two ways of making it. Please follow me to explore them one by one.

Hot rolling method :
round billet → heating to 1200℃ → piercing → tube rolling → sizing → cooling → straightening → testing
Features : high efficiency, suitable for mass production, but my surface roughness is relatively high.

Cold drawing method :
hot rolled tube billet → pickling and rust removal → cold drawing deformation → heat treatment → finishing

Features : high dimensional accuracy (± 0.05mm), which will make my surface smooth, but the cost is higher.
