What is A36 steel plate?

In terms of chemical composition, A36 steel plate has a yield strength greater than or equal to 250 MPa, a tensile strength of 400-550 MPa and an elongation of ≥20%.

In China, the corresponding grade of A36 steel plate is Q235. Q235 is a quality grade symbol, and the quality grades are divided into A, B, C, D, and E, in the order of A grade is of poorer quality, and D grade is of the highest quality. In addition, depending on the method of deoxidation, the symbols can be F, b, Z and TZ, which stand for boiling steel, semi-sedated steel, sedated steel and special sedated steel, respectively.

This kind of steel plate also has good chemical properties and has good corrosion resistance for steel with a carbon content of less than 0.25%.
